Byenbonjou !

Byenbonjou !

This track was composed one year ago, during the first pandemic lockdown in Guadeloupe, as we learned about the passing of the great saxophonist Manu Dibango.

Chorus "Byenbonjou" is a guadeloupean word derived from french word "Bonjour" meaning "Good morning".
Subtitle is "Lapé", meaning "Peace", because saying "Good morning" is to some extent the beginning of peace between human beings. It is also a way to pray and wish peace to the soul of Manu Dibango.

Verses were inspired by the vibe of the instrumental and the atmosphere of the first pandemic lockdown. They talk about nature signs and the importance to reconnect with Mother Nature.

I want to thank Empress Kemi for the hymnic dimension she gave to the song, and Sylvain Joseph for playing the shining "saxophonic" elements without which this first homage would not be so sound.
