Quand j'ai commencé à travailler sur "Say Okay (The Fly Song)" en septembre 2018, je n'aurais jamais pu imaginer à quel point ce morceau collerait à la réalité que nous vivons 3 années plus tard.

Le morceau est un hymne au rêve, à la vie, à l'Amour pour notre prochain dans tous les sens du terme.

Je reprends ici les enseignements de Brother Ibo (Paix à son âme) transmis par ma soeur Tamu (Merci !) : "Où il n'y a pas de beauté, tu dois en créer".

Ces mots décrivent l'esprit qui m'a animé et l'idée que j'ai voulu faire passer lorsque le morceau "Say Okay (The Fly Song)" a été conçu.

Authentiquement MeeMee tout en étant plus ancré. La musique de MeeMee, en filiation avec la pop des Antilles Françaises, cependant continue de proposer une vision singulière. MeeMee ne renie pas la Soul de "Ame Nouvelle" ni les expérimentations de "Kreyol Seasoning", elle en fait la synthèse. Le créole est aussi plus présent sur cet album, et avec lui, un point de vue plus affirmé de l'autrice. La poésie de Landmarks m'a particulièrement ému. Thierry Malo
